Guatemala La Bella Pacamara Washed

大家有幾耐無飲過Guatemala？係咪飲親都係嗰幾款？我都好耐無source呢個產區，宜家正好當造呀！大約6-7年前飲Guatemala，都記得有啲所謂嘅瓜地馬拉味，舊年買過一次，今年再買返，總有一種自我感動嘅錯覺。但今次呢個係開心，因為嗰陣時Guatemala已經係一個好有競爭力嘅產區，近幾年感覺似乎無咁多人關注，但其實呢個產區有好多hidden gems！

La Bella莊園坐落於瓜地馬拉東部Sierra de las Minas山脈，該地區尚未被官方列為八大咖啡產區之一，但所生產嘅咖啡卻極具潛力，逐漸吸引業界目光。Sierra de las Minas地區擁有獨一無二嘅地理與氣候優勢：南方嘅火山島鏈同北方嘅山脈分別阻擋來自太平洋與大西洋嘅濕氣，使整體氣候乾燥穩定；再加上肥沃嘅火山土壤同穩定湧出嘅山泉水源，提供咗極佳嘅種植與處理條件。雖然產量唔高，但品質極為出眾。

而莊園喺多個年份嘅Guatemala Cup of Excellence（卓越杯競賽）中都獲得過名次，讓La Bella莊園逐漸喺精品咖啡界展露頭角，顯示出不輸其他出名莊園嘅潛力。

Pacamara呢個品種係由薩爾瓦多嘅咖啡研究機構ISIC於1958年培育出嚟，係Pacas（Bourbon自然變種）同Maragogipe（Typica自然變種）嘅混血，目的是解決Maragogipe產量低、樹木高大難以採摘嘅問題，結合咗果實大但風味好以及Pacas種植密度高、樹比較矮、產量高嘅優點。但呢個品種對咖啡疾病比較敏感，其實唔係咁容易種，但如果成功，潛力係好大嘅！

就好似今次種係1700米嘅水洗咖啡，係我第一次喺Pacamara中感受到明顯嘅花香味，一路Cupping到溫度降低都能清晰感受到風味同口感，真係值得試下嘅好咖啡。

La Bella Estate is situated in the Sierra de las Minas mountains in eastern Guatemala. Although not officially recognized as one of the major coffee regions, it produces exceptional coffee that is gaining industry attention. The unique geographical features create a dry and stable climate, while volcanic soil and a reliable supply of spring water provide ideal conditions for cultivation. La Bella has received several accolades in the Guatemala Cup of Excellence, highlighting its potential in the specialty coffee market.

The Pacamara variety, a hybrid of Pacas and Maragogipe developed by the Salvadoran coffee research institute ISIC in 1958, combines the advantages of large fruit and good flavor with high yield and shorter stature. However, it is sensitive to diseases, making it challenging to grow. If successfully cultivated, Pacamara offers significant potential for outstanding coffee.
